Shortly after the birth of her first child, Melissa decided to leave her 7 year career working with a government contractor as a payroll administrator to pursue her dream of becoming a newborn photographer. Self-taught with endless hours of research and even more trial and error, she has been photographing children of all ages, families, weddings and commercial clients since 2005. She lives on a family farm in Hollywood with her husband of over 16 years, their 3 adorable children ages 14, 12 and 9, and more pets then she can count. When she's not watching her children swim competitively year-round and play field hockey or lacrosse, she enjoys traveling and reading.
